Honda K50a Monkey Bike - Mini Trial K2
A rare chance to own a totally original Mini Trial K50a Honda monkey bike with exceptionally low mileage of 369 km from new with full matching numbers.
Single family ownership from new with over 50 years, photographic evidence from the day it was purchased in the Canary Islands by my Grandfather and backed up with the original receipt & import papers etc.
The history of the bike is exceptional, my grandfather was on a cruise in 1973 and whilst walking the streets of Las Palmas found the bike in a shop window, after buying the bike he rode the bike back to the cruise ship. It was loaded onto the boat and on the 6th August 1973 the bike was in Britain.
The bike was then used sparingly as the personal pit bike of George Bevan who owned a British Touring Car Race team. #bevanimp
Over the 50 years it has spent most of its life stored away but has always been maintained and loved.
Now owned by the Grandson of the original owner it has been cleaned and serviced in the recent weeks ready for sale.
The bike is sold with full documentation which includes:
Bill of sale, Import Papers, Owners manual, Custom & Excise papers, photographs throughout its long life and information on my grandfather.
A three page statement has been prepared to outline the history.
Please remember this is a 50 year old bike that has never been restored, the photos are a fair representation of the condition but as you would expect can not be compared to a restored bike. A bike in this original condition is far rarer than a restored monkey bike with every detail being correct down to the original tyres which still remain uncracked.
The bike is sold as seen with no warranty.
