Description
This 1938 Mercedes 170V has all the original documents, including its birthday certificate from the Mercedes factory. The car is fully survivable and has been UK registered and Licenced and has a current MOT. The car is in excellent condition and currently in secure storage being maintained and run regularly. The car has had 2 previous owners. The original owners, Mr&Mrs Burmeister ordered it Mercedes from the factory in Germany as a right hand drive in 1938 and drove it around Germany on honeymoon before shipping it to South Africa where they kept it as their family car.
It fell into disrepair and was taken into the care of Phil Hammond, who over 5 years restored it back to its former glory at his home in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. In 2022 it was exported to the UK and passed into the care of his daughter who has now decided to put it up for sale.
