I am selling this Lambretta SX200 on behalf of a friend. This scooter was registered in Portugal in 18/ 07/ 1968 and shows 41000 km in the odometer.
The current owner - an enthusiast of classic scooters – has it since 2017. He has bought it as is from another enthusiast who made a full restoration “nut & bolt” to this Lambretta about 15 years ago, keeping its original color and as much original parts as possible, like the odometer that was professionaly rebuilt. If new parts were needed, new old stock parts were sourced to replace. Even the seat cover is original Lambretta. Before getting a new coat of paint the frame and all the metal parts were zinc plated to prevent future rust issues.
The ex-owner provided a book with the restoration process to the current owner, but at the moment - with a recent house moving – it got lost, but may show up at some moment.
Some usual upgrades have been done to improve the reliability and performance, such as conversion to 12v, electronic ignition, carburettor Dellorto SH2/ 22, Michelin S83 tires and so on.
The sale is due to an intention to make an upgrade to recent and bigger bike, and owning another Lambretta 200 (DL) this one needs to go to free some space at the parking garage.
