Description
The Mini Clubman Estate Car has been completely refurbished. It's had a total repainting in original colour, and restoration of the front floors with reinforcement modification, Carpeted interior was all refurbished, and the seats.
Front left and right seats were refurbished, but with non-original fabric because I could not find the original.
It has an original English sunroof by UNIPART, original BEPI KOELLIKER car roof rack, stereo system with CD player consisting of Kenwood radio, 2 rear JBL cases, two TEAC speakers in the centre and on the front doors a CIARE loudspeaker kit, and large stereo amplifier.
Clearly the chrome has some rust spots but the bodywork is perfect.
The 998 engine was changed some years ago with a 1300 engine bought from Rover Italy, kilometres on the odometer stood at 61, 000Km,
Today it has a reading of 8990Km, so it has done a total of 47, 990Km.
Last year I had the engine pulled apart to remove the gearbox and replace a noisy bearing and the clutch was also replaced, all the water hoses and more, the distributor was modified with the electronic kit, plus it also has air conditioning since I bought it.
The air conditioning since it was purchased DIAVIA FRIGETTE supplied to Rover Italy exclusively for the MINI, has a small leak. There is a small leak from a fitting that I have not had fixed because I am not using the car.
The only other thing I haven't done is restore the interior trim because my coachbuilder didn't know an upholsterer who could do it, so it remained the original one.
The car is also homologated with the tow bar, which I removed about 20 years ago because it looks a bit ugly. If I were to sell it, I would also give it the ELLEBI tow bar.
Unfortunately having three classic cars , I use it very little, so as far as my Mini is concerned, I can just start it up and drive off in any direction.
If I were to sell it, to be on the safe side, the buyer can come to Matera so he can see it and test-drive it without any problems.
