MOT to December 2025.

I have owned the car for three years and spent thousands recently to upgrade, restore and bring everything up to date, to preserve it for the long term.
Recent high quality welding on both lower sills. Have the pictures of the work that was done. The jacking points are also now welded and repaired.
Genuine 81, 000 miles; all previous MOT's from new and service book with dozens of stamps going back to 1987.
Recent partial respray on the roof and replaced and painted the bonnet and sunroof.

The car is mechanically sound. The new head gasket means there is no overheating issues at all. It can sit on the middle lane of the motorway all day long and keep up with modern cars in traffic.
The body work is straight as per pictures and has a detailed engine bay. Rear seats look like they have never been used and has the rare headrest optioned. Comes with the original working Pioneer stereo and pop out arial.
Instrument cluster has new batteries and with that all the gauges are working (unlike most others E28's). I spent £400 on this to make sure it's all working well and the batteries are not leaking.
I have the original 14 inch TRX alloys which uses metric tyres to go with the car.
The car will reach historic status in 2027, thereby it will be essentially free motoring with zero road tax and no requirement for a MOT and it will be Ulez / low emission zones exempt.
The car is located in London, 20 minutes away from Heathrow Airport.
What is it worth in 10 years?

The car was owned by an elderly couple from North London from 1990 to 2018. They would be in their 90s now. All the paperwork is in the file.
It was apparently sold with their house to a property developer. It had been garaged in those 28 years by the couple and over serviced using either their local North London BMW dealer or a mobile mechanic.
Sensible offers close to asking price will be considered.
