Description
This 1968 Austin Mini Pickup is now a very rare car, especially the early examples such as this one. This pickup can only be described as in as new condition and quite probably better. It has been treated to an extensive and very thorough restoration resulting in a fantastic pickup. The body and paintwork has been done to a very good standard and the interior has been completely refurbished with leather seats. The engine is a completely rebuilt 1275cc with twin SUs. This car has the sliding windows, plus the large door bins and external door hinges which are features of the early cars. The front brakes have been uprated to Mini Cooper style discs.
There is also a heritage letter detailing that this is an original pickup.
This is a certainly a very appealing Mini and one which will create a huge amount of interest. The condition is as good as it gets and the restoration cost of achieving what you see today would most likely exceed the asking price. Please call for further details and to arrange a viewing. I bought this to breath life back into this little classic and am delighted with the result. I have lots of pictures detailing the restoration which show the extent of the effort that went into this. Finished the restoration last year and the car has done less than 100 miles since.
