When I eventually found this one, I liked it immediately as it looks beautiful. I?ve change all the parts that were showing age so it does look lovely. The export beauty kit does make all the difference, particularly the fuel tank. I made a new steering damper on the lathe from a block of brass so it?s unique feature. It starts easily and ticks over smoothly very quickly after starting. The Lucas oil pressure gauge matches the speedo and tachometer and helps keep an eye on pressure. I had a lot of work done on the engine with parts from Trident specialists Peckitt and Mc Nabb who assembled the bottom end. Their knowledge was invaluable with assembly tips and modifications that were needed. The balanced crank and Carrillo rods make this a smooth engine throughout the rev range. The triple howl is quite the nicest engine note.
This bike always gets a lot of attention when I?m out on it but it?s time for someone else to enjoy it now.
