Description
Built in England In November 1959, this is a superb unmolested example of the Austin Healey 3000 mk1. This vehicle has never had a restoration and only ever been loved and looked after over the decades by its owners me include.
She is in tip top mechanical shape with a recent MOT to make sure everything is road legal. She comes with a very comprehensive history portfolio dating back to the early 70’s all invoices and mot’s from that date to present. All body panels are straight and shut lines are all very good! She drives and handles as she should and is a joy to drive with new steering box fitted. She is fully serviced with all mechanicals and fluids made good. I have owned the vehicle myself for seven years with the previous owner having her for twenty seven years! Paint is all good for age with only a very small amount of minor chips from usual road use for her age and she polished up beautifully! Bright work I’d in good condition too… once again I have to say she is a very original car that has never had a rebuild and as we know originality is key!
Mileage is 40, 060 and can be tracked back through mot’s to show this to be correct and original. This Big Healey is ready to hit the ground running and is a real head turner getting compliments where ever we go. I’ve had great fun in and with this Big Healey. I looked at many before settling on this one … originality and condition factored greatly .. she is a beaut! Also the history with it is superb .. from receipts mot’s letters to and from owners plus photos from way back in the 60’s and a fascinating story of ownership by Tony Hegbourne who was a very up and coming British racing driver of the early 60’s who sadly passed away 6 weeks after being in an accident driving a Alfa Romeo TZ1 Zagato in 1965! All adds to the mystic of this iconic brand .. drivers love sports cars … and Austin Healey made a mean sports car!
