2023 Festival of the Unexceptional Concourse award-winning Suzuki Baleno 1. 6 GLX Saloon
Excellent 1997 Suzuki Baleno 5 speed manual base saloon model with genuine very low mileage and many 000's recently spent. It had a single lady owner for over 25 years of its life and is in excellent original condition throughout. It has just won the Judges Special Award at the 2023 Festival of the Unexceptional Concourse D’Lordinare thanks to it’s rarity and stunning condition.
It's been recently fully serviced including timing belt, fuel filter, spark plugs etc and runs faultlessly. Everything works as it should with no warning lights etc and remarkably little wear inside or out thanks to the mileage and care it has received. The body is in very good shape with only some very minor marks and no rust etc and the interior is also excellent with minimal wear - it really is time-warp stuff. The usual rear sill areas had some welding for the last MOT and the car was cavity waxed and undersealed in various places at the same time.
It has an extensive history and everything is in great shape with great tyres, brakes, exhaust, suspension, clutch, gearbox, engine and electrics.
The standard GLX base spec includes All round electric windows, Central locking, Power steering, Electric door mirrors and Split-folding rear seats. The boot area is huge also.
I have loved using this car, it has not put a foot wrong and feels totally bomb proof with no rattles, squeaks, drafts, smoke etc. It's easy, quiet and comfortable to drive whilst also being quick yet economical. It also has reasonable road tax and costs very little to insure on a classic policy.
