Description
1971 Saab 99 1709cc 80hp LHD 107000Km Dark Green
Designed by the famous Swedish industrial designer Sixton Sason, an extremely rare newly restored early Saab 99 in classic dark green. With its aerodynamic body, clamshell bonnet, curved aircraft windscreen and Italianate mental front grill and lamps, these early 99s were extraordinarily strong being made from thick high-quality low-carbon British steel. Unveiled in 1967 this early 99 model comes with the 1709cc slant 4 manual carburettor 4 speed petrol engine that equipped the Triumph Dolomite.
Overhauled by Two Stroke to Turbo including service, electronic ignition kit, new rocker and manifold gaskets, calliper rebuild, new suspension arm bushes, steering rack arm cup and spring and extensive electrical repairs, radiator refurbishment, this car runs like a 99 should run. Repainted in its original Saab classic dark green, reupholstered in matching velour seat material and with all its original chrome trim this is a fabulous example of a restored early 99. This is a historic vehicle ULEZ, MOT and tax exempt.
