For sale is an exceptionally rare LHD Tesla Roadster, supplied less battery.
The Roadster was Tesla's first performance car with staggering performance figures and range that would put most modern EVs to shame.
These have become highly collectable, with values soaring in recent months and a number of prominent experts suggesting that this will be the first 'Classic' EV.
The example here was sourced from California (LHD) by renowned Japanese racing constructor Dome Co. as part of a feasibility study. Upon arrival in Japan, it is understood to have completed a handful of test laps at Fuji circuit before being partially disassembled for closer analysis.
The project was subsequently abandoned and the car was never reassembled; instead remaining on display in Dome's on-site Museum.
The car has since been brought to the UK where it was determined that the battery had become 'bricked' due to the long term storage in Japan. As such, it is not possible to determine the exact mileage. However, the car has been examined by a specialist in Germany who verified that the mechanical condition was exeptional and in-line with Dome's own assesment that the car would likely have done no more than a few thousand miles (the dampers look like they have only just come out of their box!)
As such, it is very likely that this is one of the lowest mileage examples in the world and would make an exceptional return on investment either rebuilt (new, upgraded batteries are offered by Tesla) or broken for parts (good quality parts also having now become extremely rare).
