Description
We have owned this car for 25 years but sadly due to space requirements we now need to sell her. She is known as 'The Duchess'.
She was completely restored from a barn find and was first registered with DVLC in 1988.
She was bought from Austin specialist, Available Austins, in May 1998 and was subsequently back with them for the engine to be rebuilt and converted to run on unleaded fuel.
The Duchess is an early Light 12 Harley, from 1933, and has a crash gearbox which is very smooth in use. She is a real pleasure to drive and looks stunning in gleaming black paint with a lovely dark brown leather interior and lighter brown carpets. The bumpers have been recently re-chromed too. There is a small chip in the paintwork on the bonnet which will need to be repaired.
She has been seen out and about at many rallies and is well known in our area. Over her time she has been used for lots of weddings and more recently as a School Prom car.
We will be really sorry to see her go but hope her new owners will enjoy her as much as we have over the last 25 years.
