2006 Aston Martin DB9 Manual. Very rare Manual gearbox car. Aston Martin's production figures show that of the 16590 cars produced worldwide during the DB9's long production run Just 358 Manual Coupes worldwide were built (around 2%). Just how many UK manual coupes this included will be a low number. A potentially "Unicorn" specification in special order Aston Martin racing green, with magnolia leather & parliament dark green secondary hide, contrast stitching & carpets. Also had optioned flamed mahogany dash "waterfall" & door capping's which were an expensive rarely seen option. Also has a full magnolia suede roof lining, heated electro seats with power back bolsters, enamel crested wheel caps etc. Truly a stunning looking car which still looks contemporary & certainly IMHO nicer than the usual DB9 specs with dark interiors & silver/ grey exteriors. Supplied new on the 10th of March 2006 by Aston Martin Mayfair in facelift 2006 specification with "white" interior illumination etc and 2006 model year revisions. None of the common issues, no corrosion anywhere, no flakey trim, iffy leather, baggy roof lining, corroded calipers or haphazard electrics. Only 3 owners including me and has only ever been serviced by the suppling dealer Aston Martin Mayfair (12 times), with the last service just having been carried out with them @38372 miles on 13/ 06/ 23 including a replacement Yuasa battery. No issues outside, inside or underneath, no warning lights, only ever had V-power SU/ L with me and always kept "tip top" to ensure reliable service when required. This car has not put a foot wrong with me, much to my surprise & rather tellingly Aston Mayfair still fondly remember the car from new. This is one of my personal cars which I have owned since June 2016 covering a modest 3k miles. I added the I think appropriate G7 MNT (GT MANUAL TRANSMISSION) select plate which will stay with the car. There are 12 service stamps in the Original leather bound book/ manual & 2 Original keys/ remotes with supporting paperwork & digital service/ recall records. Handily registered just before the April 2006 VED based taxation system for emissions. These manual cars use a Graziano transmission with closer intermediate ratios and a shorter final drive for a far more visceral experience of the 450BHP V12 n/ a engine than the automatic cars. They also use a more robust & "lighter" twin plate clutch as opposed to the "heavy" & marginal single plate item fitted to Vantage V12 Manuals, so the drive line is very refined. I am still amazed by the Value these V12 manuals present compared to a slightly ripe Ferrari V12 & I'm struggling to think of another sub £50k V12 n/ a manual GT out there? I think these earlier cars with cleaner body lines show off just how right the original design was. With the switchable exhaust this car can be a refined gt or sports car. I’d dearly love to keep this long term as I know I'd struggle to replace it & V12 manual cars just aren't made now, but being recently retired I have too many cars & some difficult decisions to take to make my personal collection more manageable. It's a well worn cliché but I'm sure this car's value will only increase with continued diligent ownership. Any viewings & inspections by prior appointment.
