1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4. 0 Automatic Limited.
All the usual specification on a stock XJ Cherokee.
Very good Chilli Red metallic paintwork all round including the roof. A few stone chips and very minor scuffs here and there but overall, excellent for the year.
Clean, tidy and intact Grey leather Interior with good carpets and non saggy roof lining.
Wheels and tires are in excellent condition
Fully functioning four wheel drive - part time 4x4 high and low and full time 4x4 as well as 4x2.
Bad bits: currently SORN no MOT due to an ABS warning light and ULEZ due to be within 1 mile of my house, so there’s little point keeping the car. I have a full rear brake overhaul kit lined up (parts worth £350) including a refurbished ABS Pump and Controller unit to be fitted but this is beyond my mechanical skill and inclination to fix. There’s an exhaust mount squeak due to having the wrong clip, leaking steering damper and some surface rust underneath but nothing a competent enthusiast couldn’t put right easily.
Good bits: Drives superbly with smooth automatic shift and full engine power. Working Radio/ Cassette with code and automatic aerial.
It’s a lovely looking XJ which starts from cold and drives very nicely every time. Newly refurbished wheels, good leather, tires, interior, electrics all way better than average. Some service history, two sets of keys, huge Chrysler Cherokee service manual.
Just reduced July 26 - Priced to sell as I no longer have the space to keep it.
