Ten years after the introduction of the first XK, the XK120, and the XK140, Jaguar unveiled the ultimate version of the series in May 1957: the XK150. Its design has been softened, and its windscreen is now a single curved plane. The model we are presenting is a Jaguar XK150 SE (Special Equipment) Cabriolet 4-seater, equipped with a 3. 4 L 6-cylinder engine developing 210 hp and the overdrive option. This vehicle was delivered new in September 1958 in Paris by the official importer Royal Elysée. It is distinguished by its exceptional configuration, impeccable condition and total conformity to the original numbers and colours or matching numbers and matching colours with Mist Grey bodywork and red leather interior. According to Jaguar Heritage records, this car was used as a show car, probably at the Paris Motor Show in 1958 or 1959. We have a complete and rare history: the last owner received this car as a gift from his father in 1962 and has kept it to this day. The car has always been professionally maintained. In 1989, it was sent to England to a renowned specialist for a complete restoration of the bodywork and gearbox. Although this restoration was carried out over 30 years ago, the current condition of the car bears witness to the quality of the work carried out. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2004 and has covered just 20, 000 km since then. Its roadholding is beyond reproach. The red leather upholstery is original and has a nice patina. Only the dashboard and carpets have recently been restored (retaining the original elements). A complete overhaul has just been carried out in our workshops, so there are no additional costs to take advantage of this superb XK. It can be traded in for your sports car or collector's car.
