Description
Mini Cooper 1. 3 SPI - 1994 - 83, 000 miles
Car History
I've personally owned this car for 22 years having bought the car in 2002 with 46, 000 miles having 2 previous owners. It was my daily driver for 5 years then at 79, 000 miles it became a fair weather weekend car so it’s only covered 4, 000 miles over the last 17 years.
It’s just passed its MOT and its been done every year to make sure its always in good shape and ready for the road. The DVLA’s check MOT history will provide all the info you need on its mileage. There was a gap between 2008 and 2011 when I choose to sorn the car to carry out some work which I’ll detail below.
I’ve got the original purchase documents, owners handbook and folder, Invoices for various jobs and parts over the years and even the original tape deck head unit.
Bodywork
Over its life it’s had all the usual mini rust issues which have been tended to back in 2010. New front end, wings, scuttle panel, a panels, step sill, outer sills (not oversills), drivers floor, boot floor, rear boot hinge panel and rear valance. All fully sealed and waxoiled.
Resprayed in its original factory colour of British racing green but I wanted a Mk1/ 2 look so I choose not to put the cooper bonnet strips and pin striping down the side. I changed the roof from white to old English white along with fitting a Mk1 Grill and GP2 wheel arches.
13 years on and there is a slight bubble of rust on the bottom of the nearside A panel and below the rear window rubber which can be seen on the images.
Engine
Original 1275 Single Point Injection, Original engine block and manual 4 speed gearbox, Stage 3 cylinder head, LCB manifold, link pipe and twin rolled exhaust complete the modifications. Vacuum hoses replaced with Silicone types as the standard rubber fittings are prone to splitting and effect the running of the car.
Running Gear
Rear subframe replaced back in 2010 along with all bushes, radius arms, braided brake lines. Hi lo adjustable suspension fitted along with GaZ lowered shocks. Original front subframe, never had a reason to change it however rear mounts and front pear mounts have been replaced with factory rubber mounts. Heavy duty tie rods installed on rubber mounts as I found polyflex to stiff.
Front brakes are 7. 5 Cooper S to allow for the amazing looking 10x6” GB alloys to finish off the proper mini look.
Interior
Interior is all original, red carpet and half leather seats in great condition. Only 1 modification of metro door pockets to allow for front door speakers.

Having owned this car since I was 17 its now a sentimental attachment rather than a passion so its time for it to go to someone else to enjoy :)
Any questions get in touch, cheers.
