Description
1966 Fiat 124 Berlina
3 owners
30, 000km on the clock
A very early June 1966 Fiat 124 Berlina with a clocked mileage of 30, 000km, verified by the Italian Classic Car association. It has had only 3 owners, the first owned from 66 until 2020, then imported and recommissioned when it was brought to the UK.
Engine runs really strong, never had any issues starting and has been well maintained. It's not wholly original as it has a Weber 32 carb - apparently a lot of early 1. 2s were upgraded with a later carb. Oil changed regularly and distributer was upgraded last year.
Gears run smoothly, changed the gearbox oil a couple months ago.
Brake discs, pads and calipers were changed last year.
Electrics all working, has heated rear windscreen.
Underneath has been undersealed in the past and it was only imported to the UK in 2020. There is some surface rust to the rear quarter body panels but only surface rust where the paint has flaked, you can either re spray or keep patina as it’s the original paintwork.
Comes with the original bumper, I removed it with the hope of rechroming however it needs someone with better metal skills than Replacement bumpers in good nick are available for a couple hundred from Europe.
Interior is lovely, seats look hardly worn and it sports St Christopher on the dash from its original Catholic owner!
A very rare car like this in the UK, last I checked there were only a handful in the country and only one from 66.
Nearest offer, I am open to swaps/ px on anything else. I’m always looking for my next classic.
