Description
This is a W plated (2000) Ferrari 456M GTA RHD Bicolore finished in Rosso Corsa and Metallic Silver with a black leather interior. Originally in the rare Rossa Corsa it was modified by Rardley Motors to have the same Bicolore paint finish as the Schumacher edition gifted by the factory to Schumacher. It has covered just over 47000 miles. It featured on the front cover of Sports and Classics Magazine in July 2016. The car has had 6 previous owners and has an MOT until the 19th October 2025 with no advisories.
This car has a front-mounted four-cam V12 engine with a rear transaxle, tubular steel space-frame chassis and all-independent suspension with electronically-controlled adaptive suspension and a six-speed automatic gearbox. Essentially a de-tuned version of that powering the 550 and 575, the 5. 5-litre V12 unleashes no less than 442bhp at 6, 250rpm yet maintains a safe and smooth drive from idling speed to red-line thanks to its state-of-the-art engine management system. F40 excepted, the 456 was the most powerful road car developed by Ferrari up to that time, yet despite delivering supercar performance this relatively unstressed engine has proven to be very reliable. It was also the most expensive of its day retailing at around £170, 000 in the year 2000.
As denoted by the ‘M’ model-name suffix, this is a ‘Modificata’ facelifted 456, which features fog lights in the front grille as well as a carbon-fibre bonnet, which was the first commercial automotive application of carbon-fibre. It also features the reprofiled dashboard with circular vents, redesigned seats, and a new stereo.
This car is finished in Rosso Corsa and Silver with a Black leather interior, and rides on five-spoke alloy wheels with Ferrari centre caps and matching red front brake calipers. It's specification includes fully electric seats, climate control, and a CD stereo. Included in the sale is the owner’s leather bound book pack, fully stamped service book, leather toolkit, and three keys including the master. This car also comes with the Sports Exhaust giving it a beautiful exhaust note.
The car has a full service history and had a major Cam service in 2021 and has had over £10k of work over the past 2 years which included a new battery, alternator, oil tank, water pump and rear handbrake shoes and cable. There is extensive paperwork provided with the car relating to its past and recent service history.
This 23 year old car is in overall excellent condition both mechanically and body wise with a few marks in the Paintwork on the bonnet in keeping with its age. Inside, the cabin is in excellent condition with almost unmarked leather all round. The black skirting and diffuser have recently been freshly painted.
This car look and sounds beautiful and must be seen. I always dreamt of owning a Ferrari but never thought it woud be affordable. The 456MGTA has met my expectations in terms of quality and finish and has been a beautiful car to drive. It is a true classic and offers a great opportunity to live the Ferrari dream.
This is a unique and beautiful car with the Bicolore paintwork. It is a great example of a phenomenal car which has been well cared for over the past 5. 5 years with no expense spared.
