THE APPEAL
The fourth-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class debuted in 2002 and was true to the model’s roots – a large, sturdy executive saloon with exceptional ride quality and a hewn-from-granite build.
Whether as a cossetting saloon or an ultra-useful estate, the W211 was one of the best cars of its era and today the nicest survivors are very much sought-after. This is one of them – a nice example in a good high-end specification.
Seven seaters are often a necessity and rarely a type of vehicle you buy for the love of cars, but here’s a family wagon you can be proud to own and also thoroughly enjoy driving.
Finished in unusual Tealite Blue, it’s a fine-looking car that’s equally at home ferrying the kids and dogs, or doing tip runs.

SUMMARY
Finding a good W211 Mercedes is getting harder and harder as so many of them were bought by owners who simply piled on the miles, especially the estate models, which were the class-leaders of their day. This one’s is a great survivor -a. genuinely low mileage car with added (and much sought-after) seven-seat desirability.
As a great retro daily or family-friendly modern classic, there’s a lot to like here. It’s a wonderfully engineered and very well-specified E-Class with the best pick of the V6 engines offered in the model.
