The Appeal

Marketed as a compact ‘Sportswagon’, the Jeep Cherokee is often cited as an important innovation in the development of the modern-day SUV. Combining impressive off-road capability with a comfortable interior, the Cherokee proved to be immensely successful.

Here we have a very presentable example of the Cherokee Classic. Garaged and used sparingly since the vendor acquired it in 2011, this Jeep is ready to be used as its designers intended.

The Interior

Textured grey cloth seats display very little wear
The door cards all appear to be in excellent condition
The veneer on the centre console presents really well
The vendor informs us that the air conditioning requires regassing
Some wear and marks visible on the carpet but it is generally quite presentable
The boot carpet is quite worn
The headlining remains clean and secure
All of the switchgear functions as it should
Original AM/FM radio with CD and cassette

The Exterior

Forest Green
The paintwork is good overall with a few blemishes here and there
Straight bodywork with good panel fit
The vendor points out a few lacquer defect on the bonnet
We could see some marks on the rear valance caused by loading the boot
The inside lip of the bonnet has some corrosion
Slight bubbling occurring around the offside rear window rubber
Some surface rust underneath although generally appearing solid
Some evidence of historic oil leaks
The radio aerial does not currently work
The vendor informs us that the tyres have plenty of tread remaining

Summary
