Highlights
- Finished in the unusual and distinctive Fiji Green
- Equipped with a manual gearbox
- Convertible soft top roof in good condition
- Will come with a new MOT
The Appeal
While they’ve long been known and loved for great saloons, BMW have for some time now proved their worth as a convertible sports car manufacturer. Here we have one of their most accomplished creations, a Z3.
Resplendent in the striking hue of Fiji Green, this Z3 cannot help but stand out from the crowd. With BMW’s 1.9-litre four cylinder engine and a five-speed manual gearbox, it’s a great car to drive as well.
It hasn’t been used a great deal in recent years, so it’s up to the next owner to drop the roof, and head out on the open road.
The History and Paperwork
- The MOT expired on 21st October 2022 and the vendor informs us that a new one will be supplied
- Original book pack present
- Collection of old MOT certificates and invoices
- Passed its last MOT test in October 2021 at 52,412 miles
- Distinctive registration number
The Interior
- Dark blue leather upholstery with Fiji Green piping and a curious etched design
- There’s not a great deal of wear to the seats, besides some gentle creasing on the driver’s side
- The carpeting presents well, although the overmats are a little tired
- The dashboard looks good, with no damage we could discern
- The plastics have faded a little, most notably on the steering wheel
- It appears a small piece is missing from the top of the gear selector
- All the switchgear appears in reasonable condition for its age
- The instrumentation looks smart
- A tonneau cover and tool kit are included inside the boot
The Exterior
- Fiji Green paintwork
- Besides some slight kerbing on a couple of them, the five-spoke alloy wheels present well
- Both the paint and bodywork appear to have been carefully looked after
- There appear to be few noticeable marks overall, although we noted a blemish on the rear bumper
- The front number plate is slightly cracked
- The soft top roof apparently operates smoothly and appears in really nice shape
The Mechanics
- 1.9-litre inline-four
- Five-speed manual gearbox
- Slight corrosion to the engine’s aluminium components
- The vendor informs us that it starts well and drives nicely
- We’ve not been informed of any mechanical issues
Summary
Z3s make wonderful sports cars with great styling, tractable engines and excellent handling. This looks to be a really nice example and we’re sure the next owner will be very pleased with it.
