The Appeal
The R107 may not be the rarest vehicle, but it’s certainly a popular one. It’s easy to see why. They’re a superb all-round package with an excellent availability for spare parts and a well-engineered chassis making for one of the more reliable ways of getting into the world of classic cars.
The 560SL was the version of the car for American markets, fitted with specialised engines, bumpers, headlights and emission management designs to match up to the requirements across the Atlantic.
Finished in Signal Red, this example is bright, eye catching and beautifully finished. It’s an all-round smasher, with a solid chassis, excellent paintwork and an interior that boasts warm colours, wooden trims and a pleasant, vintage patina.
