THE APPEAL
Aston Martin has had a long tradition of producing some of the worlds finest and most powerful convertible sports cars. In 2018 it re-affirmed that claim with the delivery of the new DB11 Volante. The sleek new shape was draped over a brand new bonded aluminium platform, with power provided by the Mercedes-AMG derived V8 engine. That new twin turbo charged 4.0 litre V8 packed a punch with 503BHP available, and the 0-62mph dash clocking in at a rapid 4.1s. The V8 was mated to the rear mid-mounted eight speed automatic gearbox, along with a limited-slip differential and an alloy torque tube with carbon fibre prop shaft.
Also new for the DB11 was the K-fold convertible roof system, which opens in 14 seconds and closes in just 16 seconds. The brand new interior was stacked with the latest technology and plenty of luxurious leather to make what Aston Martin called the ultimate convertible sports GT. The Aston Martin DB11 Volante on sale with Car and Classic is a fine example of the British sports convertible that has covered just 11,000 since 2018.

- Aston Martin Owners Handbook
- Two Keys
- Valid MOT Certificate until 21st June 2023
- 4 year Aston Martin Premium Cover which expires on 21 June 2023
- Aston Martin Tracker
This stunning DB11 Volante was first registered on the 22 June 2018, which was the first year the new model was sold in the UK. It is believed to have been a demonstrator model and was acquired by the current owner from the Aston Martin Sevenoaks dealership in 2021. At the point of purchase it had covered just 10,120 miles, which shows it was used very sparingly in the first 3 years. Since acquiring the car the current owner has covered just 1,061 miles, so the sports convertible has continued to be used very sparingly indeed.
The owner states that the DB11 has one complimentary service remaining under its Premium Cover pack, which expires on the 21 June 2023. The cars onboard Service indicator says this is a Service C1.
The owner also notes that the cars current private registration of “12 SRG” is not included in the sale and it will be reverting to is original registration.
THE INTERIOR
- Two tone Black and White full-grain Leather Interior
- Electric front seats with three memory positions for both driver and passenger
- Heated and Ventilated front seats
- Aston Martin Wings embossed headrests
- Bang and Olufsen BeoSound 13-speaker audio system
- Alcantara Headlining
The interior of this Aston Martin DB11 Volante looks superb in contrasting two tone white and black. The full-grain leather seats are both inviting and comfortable, making this the ideal sports GT for long distance touring. There is some light creasing to the driver seat base and there are some small marks on the lower bolster, which should respond to some detailing.
As one would expect for a top of the line, modern era sports car, this DB11’s specification is impressive, with all the driver aids and technology one would expect from a car of this calibre.
Of note is the Bang and Olufsen BeoSound 13-speaker audio system which we expect could well compete with the V8 soundtrack playing up front. One of this sound systems tricks are the dash mounted speakers, which raise and lower when the car is started/switched off.
Sitting pride of place in the centre of the dashboard is the Aston Martin Start/Stop button. It always feels like an occasion when it is pressed, especially when the V8 engine barks into life at your command.
The DB11 features a Satellite Navigation system, with the Infotainment system operating via capacitive switching. There’s also Bluetooth support and iPhone connectivity as well.
One welcome feature is the 360 degree external camera system which makes parking this exotic convertible an absolute breeze.
The rest of the interior presents very well with only minimal signs of use. The only small blemish we could find was a scratch to the plastic cover for the rear mounted subwoofer, which is shown in the photos.
THE EXTERIOR
Finished in metallic black, this DB11 looks superb. It is a good looking car from all angles and it is a real head turner, with the roof up or down.
The 20” Y-spoke forged black diamond turned alloy wheels are in very good condition and are set off by the yellow painted calipers. The DB11 wears a set of Bridgestone Potenza tyres all round and they look to have plenty of thread left. There is some light curb rash on the drivers from alloy, with a cut visible in the the tyre, which is shown in the photos.
The owner states that the car has been ceramic coated. The black metallic paint is in good condition all round with only light marks visible. There are some very fine scratches around the drivers door handle area and there are some water marks present. However these should respond to some professional detailing.
The fabric hood is also in good condition with no signs of any rips or tears.

With 503BHP on tap, we can just imagine how this DB11 Volante gets down the road. It certainly is an occasion when that V8 roars into life and thanks to the automatic gearbox, it is bound to be a comfortable and easy to use everyday GT. Which is exactly what Aston Martin intended with the DB11 Volante. And when the mood calls for it, you can select one of 3 drive modes and take full control of those gearshifts with the steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.
With one complimentary service remaining for this DB11, it will be all set for a summer of top down motoring.

The DB11 Volante offers the complete package for the driver wanting an extremely flexible 2+2 GT, one that has the power and soundtrack to match its good looks. With lows miles and low owners, this 2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante is ready for some summer adventures.
