THE APPEAL
Launched via one of the most expensive PR campaigns in automotive industry history, the second-generation Range Rover Sport made its debut in March 2013 at the New York Auto Show, with James Bond actor Daniel Craig involved in the big reveal.
The all-new Range Rover Sport continued in the design direction that produced the styling of the smaller Evoque, and introduced Dynamic Response suspension with active anti-roll bars, as well as a lighter, stiffer monocoque construction.
Its appeal lies in its ability to be almost as luxurious as a “full-fat” Range Rover, but with more dynamic ability, lower running costs and a smaller footprint. But make no mistake – it’s still a substantial car!
This one is the flagship. An Autobiography specification with the 4.4-litre TDV8 engine, it’s quick, refined and surprisingly agile, whilst also dripping with specification.
THE HISTORY AND PAPERWORK
- Full main dealer history

First registered in 2017, the Range Rover has had two owners and has a full main dealer service history, as well as its original book pack and wallet, plus a velvet bag containing the locking wheel nut key and some headphones for the rear audio.
It has a UK V5C and an MOT valid until September.
THE INTERIOR

Finished in smart Carpathian Grey with carbon-finish 22-inch alloy wheels, the Range Rover has a stealthy but assertive presence, offset by matt black details to the grille, front splitter and mirror caps, and combined LED and bi-Xenon headlamps.
It’s a bold and impressive vehicle, vast in both presence and dimensions. It’s presented in immaculate order with no obvious or discernible damage.
THE MECHANICS
- 4.4 SDV8
- Automatic transmission with steering wheel controls
- 334bhp
- 0-60 in 6.9 secs
- Full dealer history
With the exception of the looney-tunes SVR, this is the flagship of the Range Rover Sport powertrain line-up – a 4.4-litre V8 diesel with 334bhp and an incredible 740 Nm of torque, which combine to make it an incredibly rapid vehicle, especially between gears.
It sounds amazing and in this example it appears to be in beautiful order, with 73,000 miles on the clock backed up by a Land Rover main dealer service history.
It comes with automatic transmission controlled either by a lever or by steering wheel paddles and Land Rover’s electronically controlled air suspension, along with low and high ratios and Terrain Response, which reads the road (or not) ahead and adapts the suspension and transmission accordingly.
SUMMARY
