The Appeal
If you want a car that looks great, goes well and rides beautifully, then Lotus is where you go.
Renowned for their ability to make a car that not only drives well but ride like it’s on a carpet of marshmallow, when they launched the Evora it was soon obvious that Lotus had developed a superb GT car.

This is the supercharged ‘S’ variant, in ‘Sports Racer’ trim. As such, it develops a massive 350bhp while cosseting its occupants in a truly bespoke and luxurious environment.
With such incredibly low mileage, a meticulous approach from the owner and a good service history, we think this Evora offers a great opportunity to acquire one of the finest motorcars to come out of Hethel.

The Evora’s cabin is one of those environments that makes every journey feel special – it has a truly bespoke ‘supercar’ feel to it.
Those deep leather sports seats are in excellent condition and look fantastic with their contrast red piping and stitching. The soft grey upholstery of the door cards and dashboard is in similarly fine condition. None of it shows any evidence of wear or damage.

Black carpets with complementary overmats run through the cabin and present in fine condition, with no signs of staining or damage we could see. Looking up at the headlining, it appears secure and in very good order too.
All of the driving controls and cabin switchgear looks to be in very fine fettle, with little in the way of wear. The vendor tells us that everything functions just as it should too.
At the back, there is a small luggage compartment behind the engine bay. It’s enough for a couple of soft overnight bags and is fitted with a cargo net. It all looks in good order and, if more luggage space is required, you can always commandeer the small rear seats to accommodate an extra bag or two.
The Exterior
- Rare Chrome Orange paintwork with black contrast roof
- Diamond Clear paint protection
- Front end wrapped in Paint Protection Film
We’re told by the owner that this was the only Evora S Sports Racer finished in this striking shade of Chrome Orange.
It’s certainly an eye-catching colour, and suits the lines of the car well, particularly with the contrasting black roof, mirrors, wheels and trim.

The paintwork looks to be in superb condition, the paint protection measures taken by the owner clearly having done their job. We couldn’t identify any damage or notable blemishes at all.
Besides the paintwork, the bodywork and trim all looks to be in excellent condition, with no cracking, dinks or damage we could identify. The GRP bodywork is set over an all-aluminium tub with steel subframes, so corrosion isn’t a significant problem for these cars. T
he only minor issue we could see is some damage to the ‘S’ badge on the rear of the car, but this is relatively minor and easy to fix.

Still riding on its factory wheels, the stance of the car is superb on those gloss black 19” multi-spoke alloys. They’re shod in a set of matching Michelin tyres, fitted in August 2020 – having covered barely any distance they’re effectively a new set.
To aid with the car’s aerodynamics, the floor is completely flat. As such, what we could see of the underside looked exceptionally clean and tidy, with no scrapes, damage or corrosion visible.
The Mechanics
- Mid-mounted Toyota-sourced 3,456cc V6
- Harrop supercharger
- 6-speed manual transmission
- Trickle charger installed
With Toyota supplying the 3.5-litre V6 for the Evora, it’s sure to be a robust and reliable unit.
In this ‘S’ variant, the engine is breathed on with a Harrop supercharger, resulting in a rather rambunctious 350bhp being delivered to the rear wheels.

This example has a fine service history and has been used very little, having clocked up just over 12,000 miles from new. Under the large rear cover, the engine bay itself presents very nicely, being clean and tidy with no evidence on display of any leaks.
We’re told by the owner that the starter motor was replaced in 2020 after the factory unit failed due to water ingress. A new unit was fitted and a deflector plated professionally fabricated to prevent a recurrence of the issue.
At the same time, a rear-mounted trickle charger was installed to keep the battery topped up when the car isn’t in use.

The vendor informs us that the car drives very well indeed, performing just as it should, with no leaks, smoke, unusual sounds or mechanical issues.
Summary
As one of the finest cars ever produced by Hethel, the Evora is already a very special thing.
In ‘S’ specification, in a rare colour scheme and when presented in this kind of condition with such low mileage, it becomes truly exceptional.

If you’re looking for a genuinely usable, everyday supercar, the Evora is almost unrivalled. It may be a slightly left-field choice compared to the obvious rivals, but we don’t think it’s one we’d regret.
Presented in superb condition with a fine service history, this gorgeous vehicle is ready and waiting to be enjoyed.
