The Appeal
For the 2008 Carole Nash International Motorbike and Scooter Show, the insurance company enlisted renowned custom bike builder Hawg Haven to build a bobber in just eleven days.
After a total spend of £30,000, this incredible bike was given away as a competition prize by actor and television adventure motorcyclist Charley Boorman.

For whatever reason, the competition winner did not take delivery of the bike, which instead floated around the motorcycle industry until the current owner purchased, re-styled and road registered it.
What we have then, is a freshly refinished, professionally built custom bobber with less than 300 miles on the clock.

If a beautifully made custom bobber is on your wishlist, now’s the time to turn that dream into a reality.

Despite the bike never having been used, the vendor decided they wanted a different look for this bobber and so it was rebuilt by Simon Boden of Bod’s Custom Motorcycles between November 2021 and May 2022.
Since then, the vendor informs us that the bike has covered less than 300 miles and so it remains in wonderful condition.

The custom silver, red and black paint scheme was finished in May 2022 to a very high standard and so is in very fine condition, with no blemishes we could see.
To change the look of the bike, a new fuel tank was fitted although the original custom made tank accompanies the bike should the next owner wish to have it.

The bobber is evidently finished to an exceedingly high standard with numerous chrome accents on the engine ancillaries and front forks. The wheels are also chromed and in fine shape.
The fat tyres have a very vintage appearance and really add to this bike’s ‘old skool bobber’ look.

The Mechanics
- Runs and rides really well
- 1450cc Revtech engine
As you would expect, this bobber runs and rides really well, its Revtech 1450cc V-twin engine providing ample performance and a lusty exhaust note.
It goes through the gears smoothly and brakes firmly and in a straight line.
