Exceptional quality, comfort & performance are what Mercedes are  known for and this example is no exception with the best part of 230bhp,  a silky smooth 7-Speed automatic transmission and economy that is  more than acceptable even with todays fuel prices, this Mercedes is a  sure fire hit with anyone looking for a luxury saloon weather it be for the  family or the commute, it has the space and comfort for any  requirements.

The accompanying V5 comes with this car of course, but the star of the 

show is the complete set of Mercedes service stamps that litter the  service book from the very first through to 2019. 

As you look through the paperwork you can see items such as front  brakes and automatic gear oil has all been changed giving peace of  mind for the future miles.

Despite being 14 years old this Mercedes defiantly does not look its age.  Testament to the previous owners care, the leather, wood and gloss  finishes are really good. Looking at the switches and automatic  transmission controls there is little to no evidence of wear. The only thing  we noticed was the soft touch coating on the steering wheel  entertainment system controls looked quite used but this is normal for  this type of finish and is defiantly not excessive. 

The wooden steering wheel and dashboard trim along with the satin chrome window and  heater controls are super glossy and appear unmarked giving a hugely  lavish finish and feel to the wonderfully and clean way this cockpit is  finished. 

Trademark black, thick and plush carpets adorn the floorspace giving  you an ‘at home’ feel and don’t have any obvious areas of excessive  wear or otherwise. A nice added addition is the Parrot hands free system  which is neatly fitted and operational and the ‘Soft Close’ doors giving a  very premium feel.

Finished in Obsidian black that carries through the rear light clusters,  this is possibly one of the best looks for a large luxury saloon Mercedes.  Flashes of high polished chrome around the windows, door handles and  grille add to the finish perfectly. We are pleased to see the wheels were  almost unmarked with exception of a couple of light scratches that could  be easily remedied. 

Overall the exterior is very good for its age and would perhaps only be  improved by a light machine polish to bring back the full lustre of the  exceptional paint finish that Mercedes are know for.  

Parking sensors are fitted to the rear and the front of this large saloon,  these are factory fitted and colour coded to the car.

As history tells us, Mercedes are renowned for longevity and reliabilty  and of course with a proper service history this example will no doubt be  set for many years and miles to come. 

Equipped with a chain driven, 24 valve, 6 cylinder diesel that runs as smooth as it was new and a widely  used 7 speed automatic (7G-Tronic) and all wheel drive giving an  exceptional driving experience. 

This example is beautifully presented under the bonnet, looking  complete and unmolested. Everything appears to be in its correct place  and undamaged showing good care from the service teams that have  looked after it and of course the 2 previous owners. 

We are informed the  suspension including the pneumatic assisted suspension is tip-top  condition and along with that the brakes and tyres are ready for the road  ahead. 

A low mileage and very well presented example of a large luxury saloon  not wanting for much mechanically or otherwise. The interior being hard  to fault and wonderfully equipped and the exterior looking well for its  age, this is good opportunity to enter the luxury car market without  breaking the bank
