The Appeal
There is nothing quite as pretty, well balanced, or invigorating as a red Italian drop-top sports car.
The Italians are masters at making cars that look fast, sitting still, and this Spider is no different. Over the past 15 years, it has been well looked after by its previous owners and has very few miles on the clock.
It is now your chance to experience the thrills of top-down motoring, the 3.2l V6 up front has more than enough power to pull you along nicely and the six-speed manual will make any country road memorable.

The History and Paperwork
- As this example has so few miles on the clock there aren’t any big invoices for works that have been completed, simply because it hasn’t needed them
- Within the paperwork file, you will find an up to date V5, old MOT certificates, and a few Alfa original handbooks
- The invoices that are with the car are mainly all for servicing work carried out
- It is said that the car does have a full-service history
- In the past, it has had some work done to fix the electrically operated hood, but these repairs are still holding well
- The underside has also been protected from corrosion, this is vital for British roads
- It is now your chance to add to this car’s history
- Wherever you get to take it throughout your ownership will create amazing memories
- There is nothing like top-down motoring with a V6 soundtrack bellowing out behind you
The Interior
- Black heated leather seats
- Lovely condition
- Filled with Italian flair
Although the exterior of this Alfa is very striking in its bold red colour, the interior is a more subtle affair. Using black leather with silver accents it feels like a very sophisticated place to sit and watch the miles fly by.
The pleated back leather seats fitted to this Alfa look like they will hold you nicely as you press on down the country lanes, they should also be nice and comfortable on a long journey down the motorway. Due to the low mileage, these seats are presented in very nice condition, the leather is void from any nasty rips or stains. Not only are these seats heated, but they are also electrically operated, making this car even easier to live with year round.
Sitting behind the wheel of this modern classic sports car is the best place to be. In front of you sits the infamous Alfa Romeo badge with the open road beyond. One quirk you’ll notice when you get in is that all of the dials are angled toward the driver, giving it more of a cockpit/sporty feeling.
From top to bottom the interior is presented very nicely indeed, the grey carpets look good still with no holes in the driver's footrest, and the door cards still look great too with a mixture of textures and patterns. It has just had a full valet so you can imagine that it’ll be nice and clean inside the cabin when you drive it away.
Whether you have the roof up or down the interior of this Alfa is an amazing place to sit and watch the miles tick by. What makes it even better is the additional cruise control which should make those motorway journeys more comfortable.
Overall, the interior is presented very well for you. As soon as you hop in, you won’t want to get out of it.
The Exterior
- Sleek Pininfarina design
- Just had a full exterior valet
- Beautifully intricate alloys
- A true head turner
If you have an Italian sports car there is only one colour that it is allowed to be, and that is of course red. This Alfa is finished in a striking and deep red that makes all of the Pininfarina designed line pop from every angle. Wherever you have the pleasure of parking this beauty, people will pass by and admire it.
The paintwork of this Alfa looks amazing, the current owners mentioned that when they acquired it all they needed to do was give it a good polish up and all of the marks presented went away. What this has also done is bring this paint back to life, you can see from the photos just how shiny and reflective this red paint now is.
To match the striking red paint this car has been fitted with some very intricate alloy wheels. All of these look good, there are a few curb marks that can be found on them, but this shouldn’t put you off the car at all. A quick session with an alloy wheel repair professional will bring these back to life.
We cannot talk about the exterior without talking about the foldable fabric roof. When it is locked into place it looks in very good condition indeed. You may find a few small marks here and there, but the important detail is that it is still waterproof and will keep you nice and dry inside. When it’s not in use this roof section stows neatly behind the seats in its compartment.
Overall, the exterior is presented rather nicely indeed, the striking red paint and sleek lines make for a beautiful looking car that will look amazing sitting on your drive.
The Mechanics
- 3.2l V6 fitted
- 6-speed manual gearbox
- Good service history
- Starts, runs, and drives well
This is the section where this car comes into its own. When you were ordering your Spider back in 2007 you could get it with 3 choices, luckily the first owner knew how to spec a car and they chose the top of the line 3.2 V6 JTS engine. It would produce around 250bhp and would transmit this power through a six-speed gearbox.
With all of the right ingredients, it should not be a surprise that this is one amazing car to drive. The V6 produces a soundtrack that is sadly disappearing from our roads. This large engine pulls you down the road at a rate of knots and produces a sense of occasion unlike any other comparable sports car within its sector.
Over the years the car has experienced few miles on the UK roads which has probably protected all of the key components. Although it hasn’t covered many miles, it has still been serviced regularly according to the current owners.
You will be getting one great running and driving a modern classic sports car that will make you fall in love with driving all over again.
Summary
You can probably tell by now that this is a great example of a modern classic Italian sports car. The big V6 is more than powerful enough, the six-speed manual gearbox creates a sense of occasion like none other, and the interior is presented in lovely condition.
We all know the famous quote that states you’re not a true petrol head unless you’ve owned an Alfa Romeo, so why not make it this fabulous example?
