The Appeal
Initially released in 2004, Porsche had been hard at work on the 997 since late 1998, as they say, you can't rush perfection! The most notable changes were to the exterior and interior styling, with the renowned 'bug eye' headlights replacing the previous 'fried egg' equivalents. The standard 997, while technically very similar to the 996, offered larger 19-inch wheels as standard amongst other subtle changes and improvements.
The more desirable Carrera S version offered improved performance thanks to a slightly larger engine capacity, sports suspension and 19-inch alloys were also standard for the C2S to really help it stand out. The C2S boasts Porsche's 5-speed 'Tiptronic' automatic transmission which works a treat with the larger 6-cylinder boxer engine, ensuring true driving pleasure with this ultimate sports coupe!
