BACKGROUND
The E-Class Mercedes was always a popular choice and one of their best selling lines worldwide, and no wonder, they are big, roomy saloons that are solid, safe, luxurious, comfortable and fast.
Always featuring the latest in safety technology and engineering they now represent great value for money and are a great choice if you’re looking for a useable and stylish modern day classic.
HISTORY
This E500 Sport was delivered to its one and only Japanese owner in 2006 and comes with a full Japanese Mercedes service history, and has covered only 22,322 miles.
It comes fully loaded with extras and features the AMG Body-kit, exhaust and alloy wheels. It also benefits from the later and better 7-speed automatic transmission and the AMG Adaptive Suspension offering comfort, sport 1 and sport 2 settings to suit your mood and driving style.
Imported and registered in the UK only late last year this superb example of the E500 is now being offered for auction having been fully serviced prior to import less than 1,000 miles ago.
PAPERWORK
There is the V5c showing only one UK owner and the current MOT expires in September 2022.
There’s a full set of owner’s manuals and a stamped up service book all in Japanese, together with the import papers and a certificate from Mercedes confirming the car’s provenance and its build to Euro 4 standards.
INTERIOR
The black luxurious leather and wood interior presents very well indeed and is in superb condition throughout with hardly a mark or sign of use to be found.
The spacious interior also features a sunroof, electric adjustable and heated seats, wood and leather steering wheel, Sat Nav, CD multi-changer, a Harmon Kardon sound system and an electric rear blind.
All the carpets, headlining and door cards are very nice indeed and the perforated Nappa leather seats appear virtually unused.
EXTERIOR
Finished in gleaming Alabaster White paintwork the car looks great and other than a chip on the rear bumper, passenger door handle and the offside wing there is very little find or to worry about.
The AMG Alloys have a few minor scuffs so aren’t perfect but they all have very good tyres.
MECHANICS
Fully serviced less than 1,000 miles ago prior to import the car is reported to run and drive like new with no faults or issues to advise.
Under the bonnet shows a well cared for and maintained car and one look underneath shows a very clean and solid car.
APPEAL
There’s a lot of car here in this e500 sport with a fabulous 5.0 litre V8 providing ample performance when and if required with all the luxurious trappings and comfort that come with every high-end Mercedes.
AMG adaptive suspension and the 7-speed automatic gearbox also make this car that little bit special and with such low mileage, a full service history and looking the way it does it would make a very useable modern day classic.
