The Appeal

Aesthetically courageous, luxuriously appointed and running a reliable, robust 4.6-litre Ford V8, it’s a surprisingly usable machine. If you’re the kind of person who loves to make an entrance that Cruella de Vil would be proud of, then this is very much the vehicle for you.

The History and Paperwork

• Based on a 2002 Ford Lincoln
• Originally converted for a Doctor in Texas
• Apparently used to give George W. Bush a ride around the 2003 Texas Motor Show
• Imported to the UK and first registered here in November 2009
• One owner since import to the UK
• Number plate authorisation certificate
• SORN from 2014 to 2021
• Current MOT to June 2023
• 29,107 miles indicated, verified since import by the MOT record
• Handbooks and two sets of keys
• Always kept by the vendor in a heated garage - presumably quite a large one

The Interior

• Lovely dark grey leather upholstery, with embroidered Zimmer logos to the seats
• All of the leather looks to be in fine order, with no significant wear or damage to be seen
• Glossy wood veneer trim, showing no discernible evidence of warping, cracking or delamination
• Coordinated grey carpets and floor mats present well, with no staining or threading observed
• Dark grey headlining
• Electric windows and door mirrors
• Electrically operated front seats, both are heated and the driver’s seat has a memory function
• Cruise control
• Scorpion alarm system
• Air conditioning
• Factory fitted, glass, electrically operated sunroof
• Kenwood satellite navigation system

• Twin rear Alpine DVD players with seven-inch screens and individual headphones
• All of the driving controls and switchgear elements appear to be in good order, with some wear evident to the multi-function steering wheel and its leather trim
• The generous boot space (or trunk, what with this being a Stateside vehicle) is trimmed in grey carpet and is in fine fettle
• We’re assured by the vendor that everything works as it should, with no issues reported

The Exterior

• Impactful silver paintwork with black pinstriping to the flanks and rear
• Generally, the paint appears to be in good order, with just a few minor marks and blemishes
• The only notable issue we saw with the paint is a set of runs to the rear off-side quarter
• Sweeping front and rear arch design, with hints of running board
• The bodywork appears to be nicely finished, with no damage or corrosion we could see
• Tastefully bedecked with period styling features and gold accoutrements, including driving lamps and gold air horns
• Dynamic hood ornament takes the form of an eagle, wings akimbo and claws set
• Wide, polished metal bumpers front and rear show nicely
• There are side-fender mounted spare wheel cases, as well as a rear-mounted spare wheel cover
• Eagle-embellished number plates frames
• We do note that the number plates are not currently in a road legal format for the UK
• Keycode access panel for the driver’s door
• Tinted windows offer occupants privacy as they cruise, ensconced in luxury
• Rear mounted chrome luggage rack
• Side hinged bonnet covers give easy access to the engine bay
• Underneath, all appears to be clean, straight and tidy, with no damage we could discern, just a smattering of surface corrosion to some drivetrain componentry
• 16-inch spoked wheels, with centre fixing and gold spin locks  we noted some surface corrosion to the spokes, but generally they look eminently usable
• The wheels are shod in a new, matched set of Bridgestone tyres
