The Appeal
Stylish looks, Italian styling, four seats and a twin-turbocharged 3.2 litre V8 makes for a very appealing sports car, especially when it also wears the famous Maserati badge. The 3200 GT is a fast and exciting car to drive and makes a wonderful sound, all in all there’s not much that doesn’t appeal with this car.

All the controls work smoothly with no damage to any of the fabrics or fittings in the interior. The deep carpets and alcantara headlining have also fared well as has the quality leather used on the seats.
The Exterior
- Finished in Dark Blue metallic
- Excellent wheels and tyres
- Very good condition and presentation
The 3200 GT is a lovely looking car, and with its metallic paint and crisp lines it looks good from every angle.
The recent work on the body and paint here and there makes this car particularly nice with no blemishes, scratches of imperfections to be found.
The shut lines are good and the car sits well on its alloy wheels, which are all fitted with good rubber. Other than some slight damage to the front grill the car is pretty immaculate.
The Mechanics
- Recent mechanical work
- Full recent service
Recently acquired privately, the car was immediately inspected mechanically and fully serviced. Some rough running was sorted out by cleaning the injectors and fitting new spark plugs.
It now looks and goes really well, driving exactly as you’d expect a 3200 GT to drive, changing smoothly between the gears and providing instant acceleration whenever required.
Only up for auction as the current owner has traded up to another Maserati recently. He had intended to keep this one for the near future, which is why it is so well presented.
Summary
A very nice modern classic from Maserati, presented in great overall condition with sensational Italian looks and styling, not to mention one hell of an engine under the bonnet. What’s not to like?
