The Background
The Jaguar XK is a two-door 2+2 grand tourer manufactured and marketed by British automobile manufacturer Jaguar Cars from 1996–2014 in hatchback coupé and convertible bodystyles, across two generations.
The first generation was marketed as the XK8, replacing the XJS and was Jaguar's first 8-cylinder model since the Daimler 250, introducing the all-new Jaguar AJ-V8 engine. The XK8 shared its platform with the Aston Martin DB7 which was itself based on the stillborn XJ41/42 project built on a modified XJ-S chassis conceived in the mid-1980s.
The History
The current owner has a number of vehicles and has decided to reduce his holdings so the XK8 is up for grabs.
The Paperwork
It was first registered 01.09.2001, a full stamped service history is provided.
The car also comes with the necessary V5C and has valid MOT until September 2022.
The service history is as follows,

The Interior
The interior is classic Jag, all leather and wood trim. Being a coupe it’s a snug fit and feels almost cockpit like.
The leather is in decent condition with minimal wear, the rear seats look to have been hardly used at all.
The Exterior
The exterior of the vehicle is tidy with no damage to report, for its age it really has faired well.
The flowing lines of this body shape look great in this colour and it is fitted with 20” BBS wheels in a light gold. The wheels themselves are in great condition bar a few minor curb rashes and the tyres have decent life left.
The Mechanics
The XK8 starts stops and runs well, the V8 engine at this mileage and with this servicing is barely run in, there are no untoward knocks and bangs.
The car comes with a stainless steel exhaust system and the front suspension bearings have been recently replaced with new polybush bearings all round.
The auto box is smooth and changes up and down well.
The Appeal
The Jaguar XK8 was the replacement for the well XJS. With its long bonnet, flowing smooth design it brought the big engine Jag coupe bang up to date when it was released.
Such a capable car was it that Aston Martin shared the platform producing their DB7 using the same chassis and very similar body work.
This particular example, is clean on the inside and outside sporting optional 20” BBS wheels and that thumping great V8 powerhouse and resulting soundtrack, what’s not to like?
If you’re in the market for one of these , this one would be worth a closer look.
