The Bentley Arnage is a high quality, luxury car manufactured by Bentley Motors, Crewe from 1998 to 2009. Powered by the L series V8 engine, with Cosworth engineered, twin turbo chargers producing approximately 500 N.m of torque.

Originally supplied by Jack Barclay of London, it was bought by the current owner in May 2018 and used very sparingly over the next three years. The fact it has been driven less than 3000 miles during his ownership is his main reason for putting the Bentley up for sale & whilst these miles have been enjoyable, he feels it would be better if it now went to an owner who could make better use. 

Stored in the owners garage during the summer months and then in secure , dehumidified storage over the winter, this Arnage has lived a pampered life.

This Arnage has been very well looked after throughout its life, with a full service history as detailed below & in the service book.  Almost all services were carried out by JCT600 Bentley Leeds.

There are various receipts for works carried out over the years, but nothing significant has needed attention. It had its annual Mot in April 2021, which is of course valid until April 2022. Service book and handbooks including the navigation directions are present. There is a current V5c registration document.

The silver exterior is complimented by Black leather seats on the inside and black headlining. The multi adjustable front seats show very little wear, whilst the rears appear to have hardly been used. The expected quality of this Bentley, shines through to the walnut dash and door trims, the ‘organ stop’ air vents, the beautiful chromed switchgear and of course those gorgeous cream instrument dials. The footwell carpets are protected by fitted, deep pile sheepskin rugs which have done their job extremely well. There is of course, the added benefit of a sunroof should the weather allow.

The exterior is overall in excellent shape with only one visible but very small stone chip on the bonnet, a little scuffing on the front number plate surround and a little scratch on the boot and nearside front wing, all of which could be easily remedied by polishing but more importantly, need close inspection to notice.

For the photography session, the Arnage was taken on a short journey and the engine sounded very smooth, with the gearbox changing up and down effortlessly. The ride quality for which Bentleys are renowned was noticeable for the way it just floated over any road undulations with consummate ease. No knocks or bangs to be heard here. On tickover the car was virtually silent, and from the drivers seat, the only way of telling if the engine was switched on was by looking at the tachometer.

It’s been said many many times but “ a Gentlemans Club on wheels “ one of the best ways of describing this Bentley Arnage Red Label. Long distance, high speed European cruising, to whisking your wife off for a country hotel  weekend, to arriving in style at the golf course with the boys, what other car can achieve this for less than the price of a new Skoda.
