The Appeal

The History and Paperwork

• Known to the current custodian since new, the history is fairly easy to trace 
• The first owner acquires the car and has it registered under their company
• It then gets registered in their name
• This adds another owner to the V5, so although it shows as three owners overall you can discount one
• After ten years of their ownership, it is time to move on and the car is sold to the previous owner
• Once again, they own it for the next decade 
• Over the past twenty years, the owners have cherished this car and made sure to keep the original Mercedes literature
• Within the paperwork, you’ll find some lovely sales brochures and handbooks
• There are also a few invoices 
• The most recent from August of 2022 shows a new position sensor, two crank windows, a repair to the starter motor, and an aircon regas
• There’s also an invoice from 2016 that shows a new condenser, a master cylinder, and the MOT 
• The service history is also said to be very good as well 
• Now it is time for you to write the next chapter in this car’s history

The Interior

• Fitted with some lovely black leather seats, this is one comfortable interior
• The front seats make the interior feel more like a spa 
• They are not only electrically operated, but they are also heated, cooled, and even have a massage feature
• With a three memory function as well, you will always have the perfect driving and seating position 
• The leather itself is in near perfect condition 
• You would not believe that it is a smidge over 20 years old 
• Pulling the chrome effect handle at the top of the seats with start the procedure to get into the rear seats
• Moving elegantly forwards they reveal two big rear seats
• Due to the length of the car, your rear passengers should have more than enough legroom 
• Place in the middle of the rear seats, you’ll find an armrest
• Within this, there is a Mercedes first-aid kit 
• Once again, these two rear seats are in lovely condition 
• Moving back into the front we can start to look at all the glorious noughties tech
• Within the front armrest, you’ll find a Nokia car phone
• Is there anything cooler than a car phone?
• Moving forward you’ll find the gear selector
• A top is a smooth silver area, this is reported to be for the keyless start system
• Surrounding all of this area and much of the front cabin is some lovely dark wooden accent
• Presented in lovely condition this wood really adds to the luxury feel of this motor vehicle 
• There is some slight wear to the call button on the steering wheel 
• But this is only a small area considering its age
• You’ll have a lot of buttons to play with that’s for sure
• Set pride of place in the centre console is the infotainment screen
• Still showing the car's position accurately it will be a nice little addition to this modern classic 
• Above this are the controls for items such as the hydraulic suspension, ABC sport mode, and rear headrest
• There is also a button for the rear sunblind
• There is also double glazing on the electric windows
• Within the big boot, you’ll find the spare wheel and full original toolkit
• Overall, the interior is in amazing condition
• Getting in and travelling in this car will be a joy, not a chore

The Exterior 

• This car is one stunner to look at 
• Benefitting from subtle styling people will be stunned when you romp away at the traffic lights
• Finished in a lovely deep black this car will fly under the radar
• At the front, the headlights are nice and clear, as are the two lower fog lights
• If you look hard enough you might find a few areas of blemishing, but don’t forget the car is 20 years old
• One of the best parts of the exterior are the alloy wheels
• One of the only optional extras for the CL600 these Turbine wheels are in good all-round condition 
• Not only are they presented well, but they also look very nice too 
• The draw of a CL over any other Mercedes are the fully retractable windows 
• With these down, It is almost like driving a convertible but with the re-assurance of some safe metal above your head
• There is also a sunroof fitted as well
• Retracting and tilted as you’d expect this adds another to the driving characteristic of this wonderous machine
• This is a nice subtle car that can fit into almost any environment
• Popping to the shops, or a high society ball, then this Mercedes will guide you there in unrivalled comfort

The Mechanics 

• This is the part where the CL600 starts to make even more sense 
• A few subtle hints around the exterior point toward what is under the bonnet
• Sitting proudly up front is a lovely, soon to be extinct, V12 internal combustion engine 
• It is said the service history for this vehicle is good, having always been looked after by the same technician 
• Starting on the button every time the V12 purrs away quietly 
• Slipping it into drive and pulling away this car is very civilised
• But push the throttle further and the whole car comes alive
• With no warning lights on the dash
• A working hydraulic system 
• This is a beautiful car to enjoy out on the road 
• There is no doubt that this will be an excellent addition to your garage
