The Background
The Aston Martin DB7 is a grand tourer, which was produced by British luxury automobile manufacturer Aston Martin from September 1994 to December 2004. The car was available either as a coupé or a convertible. The prototype was complete by November 1992 and debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March, 1993. The car was designed by Ian Callum and Keith Helfet.
The six-cylinder DB7 (based on the Jaguar AJ6 engine) was positioned as an "entry-level" model below the hand-built V8 Virage introduced a few years earlier. This model was the highest produced Aston Martin automobile ever, with more than 7,000 built before it was replaced by the DB9, in 2004.

The Exterior
The exterior of the vehicle is clean, and the paint has a lovely deep shine to it, this colour combo teamed with the cream interior really does go well.
The alloy wheels have minor blemishes but are in other wise stunning condition, the tyres also have plenty of tread.
There is a small scuff to note on the passenger side front wing and wing mirror (pictured) that the seller has stated will be corrected before the auction comes to a close.
All in all its in very clean shape for a 27 year old vehicle.
The private plate will come with the vehicle, and given the model of the vehicle is quite a nice unique touch.

The Mechanics
Mechanically the car is in fine fettle, and the low mileage and good service history go some way to supporting that.
The car recently needed an ABS module which was replaced, and the chassis was lowered and wax oiled for further protection against the elements.
The car starts runs and drives well and the gearbox is smooth and operates as it should. You also get that fantastic Aston Martin burble from the tail pipes.

The Appeal
When I hear Aston Martin I hear James Bond, for years Aston have been linked with the fictional suave British spy and lady puller. You only have to look at the sleek sexy design of this DB7 to see why.
The car before you has been very well cared for, and with a few minor tweaks could be one of the cleanest in the country. The colour combination really is stunning and it has all of the right extras the you'd expect an Aston to be equipped with.
If you're after a classic GT car with ample performance and pedigree in great condition and low mileage, you wont go far wrong with a car like this, you can even pretend you’re a British spy should you so wish..
