THE APPEAL
With the 70s in full swing and the automotive world changing with the times, Jaguar needed a new hero and replacement for the incredible E-Type. With the big European manufacturers focusing their efforts on luxurious and powerful grand tourers, Jaguar saw an opportunity for a British offering and on the 10th of September 1975, the iconic XJS was revealed. Over 21 years and in three iterations, Jaguar's Grand Tourer reigned. Available as a Coupé and Convertible the vehicle was sold in numerous countries across the world including Japan where this 1992 variant began life.
Presented excellently this 1992 Japanese domestic XJS was imported to the UK in 2017 where it has been used occasionally by its current vendor. With a total of 60,689 km covered, equivalent to 37,710 miles, the car has spent the majority of its life and mileage on Japanese roads, where salt and chemicals are not used in colder weather, which is nothing but beneficial to the longevity of the car, especially the underside and wheel arches.
Finished in British Racing green and paired with light beige leather and suede interior, this XJS features offers stately luxury with spirited performance, its low mileage and life on Japan's salt-free roads are a huge attraction and as such, this XJS should be at the top of any potential buyers list.
