The Appeal
With the rising trend in 80’s vehicles this is the perfect time to acquire one of these fantastic bikes. The FZ750 was the bike that defined the course of motorbike development over the next decade, the first to use Yamaha’s Genesis engine design and featuring a new perimeter type frame, it set the trend for modern sports bike development.
Of course this isn’t just historically interesting, the engine and frame design means this bike rides like a modern bike, but with all of the 80’s cool you can handle.
Of course this isn’t just historically interesting, the engine and frame design means this bike rides like a modern bike, but with all of the 80’s cool you can handle.
It’s in excellent condition throughout from the paintwork to the chain it presents very well and with twelve months MOT at point of sale it’s ready to ride away and enjoy.
The History and Paperwork
- V5 Present and correct
- Twelve months MOT at the point of sale
- Only 354 miles covered since 2014
The Interior
- Clip on bars with crash plugs
- Switchgear all presents well
- Dashboard and instruments are all very good
- Clutch and brakes levers both present well
- Gear lever and brake pedal are both very good
- Front brake reservoir would benefit from a tidy up to bring it up to the condition of the rest of the cockpit
- Tinted front screen is clear and presents very well
This bike might be almost 35 years old, but sitting on it you get the feeling of a much younger machine. From the tinted screen to the dashboard and the switchgear it presents very well throughout.
The 80’s style long seat provides a comfortable ride whilst also allowing a full range of movement for more spirited riding. The dashboard is a good size with nice clear dials and the clip on bars are at just the right angle to give a great riding position. The switchgear is well laid out with everything within a thumbs reach without having to move your hands.
The Exterior
- Fantastic 80’s styling
- Fairing in very good condition with all of the decals
- Blue and white “Speedblock” design
- Gold brake callipers
- Black engine and fork lowers
- Gunmetal grey frame
- White wheels
The FZ750 is a fantastic looking bike and looks particularly good in the blue and white colour scheme. The fairing is complete and in very good condition along with the paintwork on the engine casing and frame. Both wheels present very well and the trim and ancillary components such as the brake callipers all also present very well.
Whilst it’s quite clearly a modern sports bike the combination of the fairing shape and the Speedblock design give it plenty of retro good looks that make it stand out from the crowd.
