The Appeal
Arguably the go to brand for quality sports cars, MG were always leading the pack when it came to stylish, dynamic automobiles, and none so more than the MGB GT. The perfect recipe of performance style and value meant the lightweight 2 door Pininfarina styled coupe was an absolute hit, the little GT quickly won the hearts of many and proudly boasts icon status to this day, standing as one of the most recognisable classic cars of all time.
NTT 131W is a lovely example of the adored model, a desirable chrome bumper conversion, it perfectly blends the improved driving prowess of the later rubber bumpered cars with the elegant, suave styling of those glorious early chrome bumper models. Having been lovingly cared for and well maintained throughout its current ownership, it stands today in great clean form and will surely make a welcome addition to the driveway of any devoted MG enthusiast.
The History and Paperwork
- First registered February 1981
- Purchased by the current owner to keep as part of a fleet of classic cars
- Maintained and serviced by the current owner, a former BMC garage technician
- Both MOT and tax exempt due to the car’s age and historic status
- As we understand, the V5 registration document is present with the vehicle
The Interior
- Well preserved interior space, in what is reported to be good highly original form
- Black interior plastics and upholstery
- Upholstery is said to be in good clean form throughout
- Small area of tarnishing on some of the rear interior side trim by the tailgate struts
- Interior switchgear looks to be in good clean form with minimal signs of wear or age to be seen

The Mechanics
- Legendary 1.8 litre B Series engine resides in the front of the car
- Reported to be in great overall mechanical order, having been well maintained and serviced by the current owner
