Highlights
- Good all-round original condition
- Only 2 owners from new
- Part of a Jaguar collection since 2005
- One of only 372 RHD produced
The Appeal
A nice original and unmodified example of the Daimler Double Six with the longer wheelbase, fuel injection with genuine documented low mileage and a 5.3 litre V12 engine.
The Daimler Double Six version is much rarer than its Jaguar equivalent and features a more opulent and luxurious interior. Externally you’ll find a fluted chrome front grill and rear boot cowl that distinguish it from the Jaguar.
Only 372 DD6 Coupe Series 2 cars were produced in right hand drive so the rarity and collectability of this model are assured.

- Good leather seats with no rips or tears
- Front and rear armrests

The Exterior

- One wheel has a Jaguar wheel centre
- Few small marks to be found in the otherwise excellent paintwork
- Badges and external trim all present with pretty good chrome showing some very light surface pitting and corrosion
- Front grill is showing signs of pitting and surface corrosion
- Chrome surround on rear window needs re-fitting
- Engine bay would be nice if detailed
- Underneath appears good, clean and solid
- Lights all work and are free from any cracks or damage
- Clean and dry boot area containing the correct spare wheel, original toolkit and jack
The Mechanics
- 5.3 litre engine
- Automatic transmission
- Dry stored and displayed for the last 18 years
The vendor advises that the car is in good mechanical shape, starting and driving very well though he would recommend a recommissioning as the car has done only 3,700 miles in the last 18 years, and has not been serviced in the last 5 years or so.
The Summary
A nice, genuine and increasingly rare Daimler Double Six Coupe with genuine low mileage. With just two owners and in good unrestored condition, it needs some minor work and attention to detail to bring it back to its best, but will make a fine and usable classic.
