THE APPEAL
Back when it debuted in 1965, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow was billed as the best car in the world. A bold claim, but one not without foundation, for it was both technologically advanced and a delight to drive.
It continued in production until 1981, with a 1977 facelift bringing in the Silver Shadow 2, with a modernised cabin and thicker US-compliant impact bumpers, as well as substantial revisions to the steering, suspension and build quality to make it more satisfying to both own and drive.
Registered in November 1977, this is one of the very first of the Shadow 2s and has been lovingly care for throughout its life, with a full and well-documented service history provided via a network of well-known Rolls-Royce specialists including Hillier Hill, Flying Spares, AB Price, Michael Powles and Royce Motor Services, each one of them a leading expert.
It’s an unrestored, original car with a genuine low mileage of just 61,485, making it an especially rare thing, presented in superb, near-flawless condition.

There aren’t many as good as this one – it’s a fabulous car, refreshingly different from tired examples in wedding car white. One for the Rolls-Royce connoisseur.
