1971 Triumph Stag Convertible

Highlights

  • One of 699 RHD 1971 Automatics built
  • Pleasing presentation throughout
  • Jaguar ZF Automatic gearbox installed

The Appeal

Unfairly characterised by the car's troubling upbringing and the fuel-crisis era, the Triumph Stag, thanks to the number of aftermarket specialists and subsequent attention has developed into a fine motorcar. Its sophisticated styling by Michelotti and roomy accommodations for 4 adults made it an incredibly practical choice for individuals looking for a cross-country or weekend pleasure vacation. Many of the surviving Stags have been expertly taken care of by a wide range of professionals, and as a result, their upscale appeal and collectible value have grown over time.
This example is one of the earlier Automatics examples to be built, having first been registered on the 1st of January 1971. The car has received a number of helpful enhancements, including an upgraded differential mated to a Jaguar ZF 4-speed automatic gearbox. It is finished in white with an attractive contrasting red interior. This Stag has to be viewed as a sturdy preposition that has the benefit of having undergone a recent recommissioning and routine upkeep.
