- Remarkably few blemishes inside or out
- Very original interior
- Later 903cc variant
The Appeal
Fiat’s small, rear engined cars had played a pivotal role in Italy’s post-war economic recovery and the 850 range represented the company’s last dalliance with the formula. The Spider and Coupé variants were aimed at the burgeoning sports car market and proved to be very successful.
We’re delighted to offer this late Fiat Sports Coupé, with a diminutive 903 cc inline-four - which was actually the largest engine fitted to an 850. The vendor informs us that this particular car was comprehensively restored around twenty years ago and has since been driven very sparingly. As a result, it remains in fantastic overall condition, retaining a good deal of its original look and feel as well.

The Exterior
- Handsome coupé styling which looks elegant and sporty to this day
- Attractive white paintwork
- Very few noticeable scratches and chips
- The paint work looks to have been previously finished to a good standard
- Besides a small dent we noticed in the nearside rear, the bodywork appears really sound
- The vendor comments that there is no corrosion to the underside or bodywork
- We noticed a minute spec of rust under the offside rear quarter panel, but this does not appear to be extensive
- Smart chromework in very good overall condition
- Quad headlamp setup with stylish round lights at the rear
- Steel wheels finished with hubcaps which present well
The Mechanics
- 903cc inline four-cylinder engine positioned aft
- Four-speed manual gearbox
- Presents well inside the engine compartment
