The Appeal
The Triumph Trident, built alongside BSA's Rocket 3 was the world’s first mass produced triple cylinder inline. The Trident had styling to match its technically advanced format for the era. Offering some 58 bhp via its smooth engine, this motorbike offered refinement less often seen with the single and twin cylinder machines that came before.
Today Triumph is renowned for their triple cylinder engines, with the Trident being the motorbike that started their long lasting and successful relationship with the triple cylinder format.

The fuel tank and strap are both in excellent condition with no signs of wear. The saddle is also in excellent condition, absent of any rips or tears and still has the Triumph graphic showing clearly. The passenger grab handles are in excellent condition, well looked after and still possessing a great shine.
The riders foot pegs, brake and gear levers are all in good condition with the usual wear you would expect. Similarly, the passenger foot pegs are in very good condition with minimal wear. The rubber surrounding the amp meter is starting to perish slightly but this is only noticeable when inspecting closely. Underneath the saddle is also in an extremely clean and tidy condition, a good sign the motorbike has been very well maintained and looked after.

The Exterior
- Aquamarine paintwork in excellent condition
- Matching Metal chrome wire spoke wheels in pristine condition
- Exhausts in excellent condition with a mirror shine
Painted in Aquamarine, this Trident T150 certainly has no trouble catching your eye. The bike was resprayed sometime around 2008 and since then has been kept in great condition, this standard continues throughout the brightwork. A special mention is deserved for the exhaust mufflers, both with a mirror finish and no usual signs of discolouration. Furthermore, the wire spoke wheels are both pristine and really help to set this motorbike off.
Conveniently, there is a handlebar end wing mirror, not only looking the part but also offering better visibility, again this is in excellent condition. This example also benefits from a front number plate mounted on the front mudguard, which really complements the silhouette of this wonderful machine.

The Mechanics
- Matching Avon Roadrider tyres with good tread
- New pistons, sleeves and other engine work circa 2012
- Engine and gearbox casings in very good condition
This Trident T150 boasts the original spec triple Amal carburettors. The engine and gearbox casings are in very good condition. The service history shows considerable engine work was carried out around 2012, namely new pistons and cylinder liners with the cylinder block face also being machined.
The current owner tells us this Trident accelerates and stops well and as should, with the gearbox changing gear as should and overall is absent of any knocks or banging. The underside is very clean and tidy, in keeping with the rest of the bike. All fuel lines and leads are also in very good condition
