Highlights
- Expertly upgraded MGB now boasting V8 power
- Nightfire Red metallic paint in excellent condition
- Heritage shell with all new panels
- Smart leather interior
- Well fitting matching hood
The Appeal
Expertly built in 2009 using a new Heritage shell and a Rover 3.9 V8, believed to be freshly built at the time, this MG has had plenty of owners, but the seller is just the third since the car was “reborn”. Having purchased the car in November 2022 he has driven it occasionally and added about 900 miles in the past months.
It has been carefully stored in a warm garage, and only driven on dry days which is obvious when you look at the underside. Both previous owners spent many thousands on improvements and further upgrades and this has resulted in an MG that is pretty unique in many respects.
The 2009 build quality is still evident and having covered just over 15,000 miles since the build, the MG remains in exceptionally good, and eminently usable condition.

The Interior
- Tan leather reclining and folding seats with red piping, complete with headrests

- MG CD/Radio does not appear to work but likely an easy fix
- Red anodised gear knob with matching tan leather gaiter
- Removable wind deflector
- Clean boot with fitted dark red carpet, original jack and tools but no spare. Two cans of tyre weld

The Exterior
- Superb Nightfire Metallic Red paintwork with a good, deep shine
- Smart burgundy mohair hood in clean and tidy condition
- All new body panels including RV8 bonnet at the time of the rebuild

- Always garaged and appears to have never been driven in wet weather
- All glass and lenses in great condition
- Raydot front driving lamps, both working
- 15" Minator “Minilite” style wheels with no damage or curb marks, MG centre caps and locking wheel nuts
- Lightly worn set of Goodyear tyres
- Good chrome overall, some slight pitting on rear corners
- Single exhaust with chrome tip
- Correct MG badging and all trim in good condition
- Comprehensively rust proofed at the time of the rebuild
Looking around the exterior of MG reveals very little in the way of wear or damage. The paintwork is exceptionally good as can be seen in the photographs. The roof fits well and is easy to erect once you have removed the wind deflector that mounts behind the seats.
