The Appeal
Jaguar’s Mark 2 is one of the icons of the 1960s: beloved of high-stakes criminals as well as fast police motorway patrols, it transcends the barriers of class and still has a broad appeal.
This particular car is said to have remained in the ownership of one family since it was new, having been bought as a wedding present for its first owner, who drove it until 1992. Since then, it has been stored unused in an outbuilding on the family estate.
Now having emerged from its slumber, this Jaguar offers an exciting opportunity to acquire a restoration project. Clearly a thorough inspection of the car’s structure and mechanical components will be required, but it appears to be very original and complete.

The Exterior
- The car has cleaned up remarkably well, after being removed from the barn where it spent the past thirty years

- Leaping Jaguar bonnet mascot still present
- External chrome trim is pitted throughout
- Some corrosion to the steel wheels, four Jaguar-badged hubcaps still present

The Mechanics
