The Appeal
Delivered new in 1967 to Holland, the last year of Mk2 production, it was originally Opalescent Blue with a blue interior, and, left hand drive.
When it returned, and was registered in the UK in 2006, it had been restored to a high standard with a change of colour to Opalescent Grey with a black interior. During its time in the UK it has been maintained by specialists and always been garaged, enjoying regular, but light use.
Presented in very good condition this Jaguar Mk2 is going to make someone very happy indeed.

The current owner has kept the car garaged, well maintained and nicely fettled, but covered little mileage during his ownership.
The car underwent a bare metal re-spray prior to 2006, and has undergone continuous work since, which has included the engine being reconditioned and the cylinder head gas flowed. The brakes have been overhauled, the rear differential has been reconditioned along with a new clutch and new MWS wheels being fitted. The front suspension was also refurbished and new rear shocks added along with a new prop shaft and the overdrive also being reconditioned.
The Interior
- Black leather interior
- Excellent condition
- Moto Lita wood steering wheel
- Metal sliding sunroof
- Black carpets replaced recently
- Headlining and internal fittings very good
- Black door cards
- Fabulous, aged patina on leather seats

- Very good overall condition
The black leather interior has a fabulous, aged patina and really suits the wonderful cabin of the Mk2 with its big leather seats offering plenty of comfort and support. The burr walnut throughout the cabin is in great condition with a high lustre and all the instruments, dials and switches are working with hardly a sign of their age.
A rarely found sliding metal sunroof is a very welcome extra to this great sporting saloon and happily that slides open easily and without fuss.
Door handles and window winders along with the front and rear quarter-lights are in great shape, with good chrome and good seals.
Converted in 2014 from left to right hand drive the interior, complete with rear picnic tables and that great classic Jaguar environment, is truly a lovely place to be.
The Exterior
- Opalescent Grey
- Wire wheels
- Paintwork and body extremely good
- External trim, badges and lights all good and clear
- Very good brightwork
- Windows and rubber seals all in good shape
Finished in Opalescent Grey, which still looks great after its full bare metal respray before 2006, the curvaceous Jaguar saloon looks superb from every angle, its wire wheels, imposing front and twin exhaust pipes completing the classic big cat perfectly.
The 3.4 litre grille badge at the front does need replacing but a genuine new one is included to rectify this small annoyance. The only other things to mention are a small ding in the driver’s door trim and a couple of small chips around the metal sliding sunroof.
The Mechanics
- 3.4 Litre straight 6
- Manual with overdrive
- Engine reconditioned and gas flowed
- Overhauled brakes
- Rear differential reconditioned

- Overhauled overdrive

This is a Mk2 that has had a lot of work done to it by its various owners to keep it in tip-top mechanical shape. The engine bay is nice and clean and it is reported to drive really well with good acceleration through the gears, a working overdrive and that very distinct Mk2 soundtrack.
The Summary
A beautiful example of one of Jaguar’s greatest classic saloons that is presented in overall exceptional condition with the benefit of the renowned 3.4 litre straight six engine, manual gearbox and that rare metal sliding sunroof.
