The Appeal

Combining performance and comfort in equal measure, the Jaguar MkII, latterly sold as the 240 and 340, was the go-to fast British saloon of the 1960s. Well preserved examples are particularly sought after, especially those with manual gearboxes and overdrive and that’s exactly what we have here.
This beautifully restored Jaguar 240 was bought brand new in 1967 by an RAF Group Captain and Second World War veteran who owned the car until their death in 1999. It later made its way to Italy where it was restored to an exceedingly high standard by its new owner who used it to participate in several events. It was submitted for ASI evaluation and received its Gold certification in 2017. Now repatriated to the UK, this superlative and storied Jaguar is now in need of a new home. It remains in fantastic overall condition, accompanied by a substantial history file including a wealth of information about previous owners.
If you’ve always wanted a well sorted, manual MKII, then be sure not to miss this charming 1967 240.
