The Background
The British Rampart Boat Building Company needs little introduction to the Classic yacht enthusiast. Launched after the First World War at Bitterne Manor, Southampton, the boatyard found fame for its unique and bespoke designs.
The Rampart name was at the forefront of British boatbuilding until the early 1980's, being one of the last remaining boatyards in England still producing bespoke quality wooden boats.

The History
This beautiful 48 ft. classic wooden gentleman's motor yacht was commissioned by a wealthy London businessman and completed in 1961 by Rampart boat builders in Southampton. Sea Dawn has been lovingly cared for to maintain the style and quality of the beautiful craft you see today.
Sea Dawn is a very comfortable yacht, with ample accommodation to cruise canals and rivers in style, or live aboard if required.
Sea Dawn is currently moored in Spain, in the vibrant coastal town of Cambrils, approximately 20 kms from the ancient town of Tarragona. Cambrils has many superb restaurants and bars and fabulous long sandy beach and is easily accessible from Barcelona. Ryan Air fly direct from the UK and Ireland to Reus.
The Paperwork
The vessel is currently registered with the United Kingdom Certificate of Registry. After sale, the vessel will, of course, need to be re-registered by her new owner wherever they choose.
The latest survey/status report was carried out in June 2021 by Consultoría Náutica LFC in Barcelona. The survey confirms that Sea Dawn is in excellent condition and bidders can be confident that the vessel has been very well maintained.
The vendor has also advised interested parties, that the mooring fee in Cambrils Marina is currently €556+ VAT per month. The marina also offers low and high season monthly rates. Of course, less expensive marinas are available, such as Valencia with is around €300 per month, plus VAT. The Cambrils Marina Manager is happy for Sea Dawn to remain moored there, should the new owner so wish.
