Highlights
- Original condition
- Practical and useable classic
- A great British icon
The Appeal
Full of charm and character the iconic Morris Minor will raise smiles and turn heads wherever it goes. They are easy cars to run and maintain, with a plentiful supply of parts available, and the car’s simple mechanics can be worked on by even the most amateur enthusiast and they are great fun to own and drive.
The History and Paperwork
- First registered in 1960
- All original example
- V5 present
- Current MOT expires in June 2023
- Owner’s manuals and workshop manual
- 2 keys
Acquired only recently through a friend this lovely all original Morris Minor has been fully serviced, had new steering gaiters fitted and is now looking for a new owner.
*The odometer shows only 2,810 miles but looking through the on-line MOT history the mileage shown is not the car’s true mileage.
The Interior
- Original interior
- Wonderful patina
The original red interior still looks inviting and full of character but does show some signs of its age and use over the years. The door cards are all pretty good and the seats, once given some TLC, should scrub up well and the carpets are all good too.
The headlining has a small rip but the whole interior, although basic, is full of charm and character and is a welcoming and cosy environment to be in.
The familiar classic dashboard with its large solo central dial and the various toggle switches all look good and all work.
The Exterior
- Original paintwork
- Original wheels
- Pop-out indicators
Finished in a grey-blue the original paint has faded a bit in places but overall presents itself really well but it is beginning to show some bubbling paint on a few body panels as you’d expect to find on an un-restored car of this era.
The chrome trim around the car is all complete, showing the odd sign of aging, but overall, it looks fairly good, the window seals all look functional, and the wheels and hub caps are fairly good too.
The Mechanics
- Recently fully serviced
- Runs very sweetly
The Morris Minor starts easily on the first turn of the key and drives really well, and although there is no service history as such with the car, it has the look and feel of a well cared for example of this popular British classic
The Summary
This is a nice original example of the very recognisable and charismatic Morris Minor that would make a great first classic car that is very reasonable to run and great fun to drive.
